21 December 2023, China Center for Information Development (CCID) was officially approved by UNIDO to join the Global Alliance on AI for Industry & Manufacturing (AIM Global).

UNIDO launched the AIM Global initiative in July 2023 to establish the AIM Global, which aims to promote international cooperation in the field of AI among government agencies, industries, private sectors, academia, and civil societies. The Alliance will boost exchanges, joint research, and skills training among different subjects, as well as formulate relevant industry standards and rules. AIM Global members will make joint efforts to unleash the full potential of AI, create a global digital ecosystem, remove barriers and obstacles to AI in international cooperation, and thus bridge the digital divide between countries and industries.

As an AIM Global member, CCID will adhere to the research-prioritized, scenario-driven principles based on open cooperation and safe development. CCID will strive to deepen international cooperation in the field of AI, promote technological innovation of AI in the industrial field, explore the wide application of AI in diversified scenarios, and promote AI to play a positive role in the prosperous development of the global digital economy.
