On the afternoon of September 13, Eloy Alvarez Martinez, Minister of Industries of Cuba, Carlos Gomez Gilbert, Director of Industrial Development Bureau and other delegations visited CCID. Both sides exchanged their views on the five-year industrial planning of Cuba, new industrialization, and corporate cooperation. President Zhang Li presided over the meeting.

President Zhang Li welcomed the delegation and recalled the successful cooperation and long lasting friendship between the Ministry of Industries of Cuba and our institute. He put forward suggestions on exploring the possibilities of cooperation in new industrialization, jointly drafting the industrial plans, and promoting the cooperation between Chinese and Cuban enterprises. With abundant resources and rich experience in various fields, which can provide strong assistance for the development of Cuba. He hoped that both sides will form consensus through sincere communication and carry out more practical cooperation and exchanges.

Eloy Alvarez Martinez fully affirmed the significance of the medium- and long-term plan formulated in cooperation with CCID for the development of Cuba. He said that the Cuba has a promising prospect of cooperation with CCID. He hoped to set up a joint working group to build up a working mechanism for planned and targeted cooperation and both sides can keep in close touch with each other to make practical progress.
