China Center for Information Industry Development, also known as CCID, is a public institution under China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). It has 18 research institutes and 20 holding companies including CCID Group. Since its establishment in 2000, CCID has focused on the comprehensive integration of informatization and industrialization as well as the building-up of a manufacturing power and an Internet power in China. With its businesses focusing on research and consulting, testing and certifification, technology services, media and exhibition and industrial fifinance, CCID has provided services to over 20 ministries, more than 400 local governments and more than 5,000 industries and enterprises. Under the guidance of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, CCID manages the day-to-day operations of the National Manufacturing Strategy Advisory Committee, the Electronics Science & Technology Committee of MIIT, etc. It also leads more than 20 industry associations such as the China Semiconductor Industry Association, China Security Industry Association, Sino-German Smart Manufacturing Alliance and China High-End Chip Alliance, etc.
