The establishment of the BIFNC is a significant step in implementing the consensus reached by the BRICS leadership. As a specialized ICT think-tank jointly founded by the MIIT and Shenzhen Municipal Government, and organized by the CAICT and Shenzhen industry and Information Technology Bureau, BIFNC strives to build an international cooperation platform, focusing on the next generation mobile communications, industrial Internet, AI, etc. BIFNC has organized multiple international events, provided support to BRICS Ministerial meetings, and conducted joint research with various institutions and universities, and actively participated in the ITU to carry out standardization collaboration.
